Caring for kids' clothes so they last

Simple washing, drying and storing habits that keep colours bright and fabrics soft.
Kids' clothes get washed often, so a few good habits keep them looking new for longer and make it easier to pass them on to a younger brother or sister.
Read the care label first. It tells you the right temperature and whether the piece can go in the dryer. Wash dark colours and prints inside out to protect the colours and the printed designs.
Treat stains early. Rinse food and juice stains with cold water as soon as you can, then wash as usual. Avoid strong products on prints and on delicate pieces.
Dry in a ventilated place away from strong direct sun, which can fade colours. Fold knitwear and hang jackets and dresses so that they keep their shape.
Before storing out-of-season pieces, wash and dry them completely, then keep them in a clean, dry place.
General information only. Ask us about any piece before you buy.
